Girl What Rides

eh, hem… Correction: ‘Old Gal Here’

About the motorcycle above, she really is a beauty isn’t she?  The idea to become a KLR 650 owner/rider occurred one day in 2008 while walking out of a grocery store and there sat a brand new black KLR sitting in front of the market all filled full with exciting gnarly, knobby attraction. A few months later, a new KLR rider was born.  This 2009 motorcycle was like a virtual magnet that magically swept accessories from the dark depths of bike supply warehouses around the US, making this bike the unique experience that it is today. The Luna Moth painted on the fuel tank occurred after an epic full moon night ride along the Sacramento River.  The Luna fly’s only at night.  You can’t see it, but there is a full moon on the other side of the tank that glares through low-hanging cloud cover, lined in an eerie lime green glow to continue the theme.

Why I Ride The Kawasaki KLR 650:

Photography is another pleasing interest but that’s been put on the back burner in 2014 with gardening moved front and center.  Fall and winter just may be the right time to revive an old hobby or two.  Hiking was misplaced and needs to be given its rightful priority and place .  Moving a home from one city to another can take its toll on so many things, turning an otherwise orderly life into a series of surprises; enough to dislodge even the most passionate pursuit.

Jaimenote (this blog’s Title) simply means, a message (or note) from me to you.  Now that you are receiving so many notes, it’s up to you to decide what you want to do in response.  You could just click to close this tab or maybe you’ll just sit there a minute in contemplative bliss.  If this superficial overview of my blog is insufficient and you really must know the more serious side of me consider…

…What’s that?…you have something you want to say? Well please, go ahead and spill your guts in the comments sections provided below; I’m listening.

All of this place, is solely for your entertainment pleasure.

Enjoy.

  1. Looks like fun but those big bikes…fighting for balance, You have to see my DRZ 400. Love it. I’ll ride out to your place on the weekend some time.

    • I missed the KLR 650 Death Valley Days in November. D4W members are talking about a run down there in January. Some day I want to load the bikes in the trailer and get lost somewhere north of Tonopah! 🙂

Go ahead, spill your guts to the world!
